Ricardo Ffrench - Davis

In the area of ​​public administration and political science, I admire Ricardo Ffrench-Davis who participated in the latest tax reform. He was in charge of carrying out economic policies when he returned to democracy. He is an economist at Universidad de Chicago, however he specialized in welfare economic policies. He was one of the founders of CIEPLAN. Later he was Director of Studies and Chief Economist of the Central Bank of Chile; position he held until March 1992 when he joined ECLAC with the position of Principal Regional Advisor of ECLAC until 2004.

He currently works as a teacher at Universidad de Chile, in the Faculty of Economics and Business. Ricardo is 83 years old and continues to be a contribution both to the elaboration of public policies and the economy.
